Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional to join a a global manufacturing / distribution business in a newly created role as UK Health & Safety Manager.




This is a new position due to growth, the business has ambitious plans for expansion and there is huge potential for career development within the organisation as a result. Being a new role there is great scope for someone to make a mark, implement new ways of working, drive improvements and be a real driver of Safety culture in the organisation.



Duties include:


  • Develop, implement and manage health and safety policies, procedures, and systems
  • Ensure compliance with local, national and international standards including OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards in the workplace
  • Develop and implement action plans to address and mitigate risks
  • Lead accident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
  • Conduct health and safety training for employees at all levels
  • Promote and foster a strong safety culture in the business
  • Advise management on best practices and improvements for employee health and safety




Prior experience in a similar role is essential and the ideal candidate will have experience of implementing ISO health and safety standards previously.
