Job Title: M&E Quantity Surveyor
Location: Cheshire
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, plus car and unrivalled company benefits

The client has a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial department which is based in the North West and are looking for a candidate who has experience at working on high value projects within the built sector.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our clients team, working on a high-value nuclear site. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of large-scale projects within the building services industry. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Management: Monitor and control project costs, ensuring that expenditures align with budgets. Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Contract Administration: Manage all contractual aspects of the M&E project, including the preparation, negotiation, and administration of contracts. Ensure compliance with all legal and contractual obligations.
Procurement: Lead the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, managing tender processes, and negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
Valuations: Prepare and submit interim valuations, manage final accounts, and ensure accurate and timely invoicing. Handle variations and change orders effectively.
Risk Management: Identify and manage potential financial risks, ensuring that all risks are mitigated and managed proactively.
Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients on financial and contractual matters, ensuring that client expectations are met or exceeded.
Project Support: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Provide financial and commercial advice to support decision-making.
Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, including cost/value reconciliations, and present findings to senior management.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying
Experience in a similar role: Proven track record of working as a Quantity Surveyor within the building services industry, preferably on high-value and complex projects such as nuclear sites.
Commercial Awareness: Strong understanding of commercial processes and the ability to manage financial aspects of projects effectively.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to managing costs, contracts, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
