As a vital member of our business development team, reporting to the Business Development and Marketing Junior Manager, the Business Development Administrator will support the development and implementation of strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities. Your responsibilities will include assisting with proposal preparation, and administrative tasks to help drive our business forward.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
Primary Duties of the Business Development Administrator are:
- providing administrative support to the business development team
- co-ordinating meetings and appointments for business development managers or executives
- organising meetings and follow ups with customers and partners
- supporting the preparation of proposals, bids, and presentations
- supporting the team with writing, admin, and customer engagement
- collaborating with other departments to achieve business development goals
- monitoring and tracking sales and business development activities e.g., events
- perform various general administrative duties (such as file creation and maintenance of ongoing administrative projects)
- taking ownership of the METIS CRM system including updating, ensuring actions followed up, and reporting for BD, management and board meetings
Secondary Roles and Responsibilities
Secondary Business Development Administrator duties are:
- event planning and attendance
- assisting in the creation of marketing materials
- carry out other duties as specified by the Business Development and Marketing Junior Manager
Knowledge, Skills and Experience (Essential)
- Previous administrator experience.
- Self-starter, able to work on activities with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills.
- Negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen and effectively verbalise ideas.
- The ability to remain calm in stressful situations including during multiple bid submission within the same timeframe.
- Knowledge of the relevant computer systems and software programs including Trello board.
- Solid ethics and morals and sound judgement.
