A bit about the job:
In Internal Audit we focus on what matters, to make things better for Aviva. We continuously refine our knowledge and understanding of the risks that matter; those which affect our business and customers. We couple this knowledge and judgement with strong collaborative relationships to inform our audit assignments, enabling us to influence Management and motivate change.
The Senior Auditor will be a member of the Internal Audit team and have the opportunity to get a greater understanding of how the business works and to perform a variety of challenging and rewarding work, including engaging with senior stakeholders. The role will primarily involve supporting the delivery of audit assignments to a high quality on a timely basis, to drive outcomes that improve the overall control environment and risk management within Aviva's Protection, Health and Customer Operations business areas. Under the guidance of the Head of Internal Audit and Senior Audit Manager, you will work in a team with a diverse range of skills, including specialist skills such as data analytics, IT, Change and Finance, and with great communication, influencing and leadership.
The Senior Auditor will be involved with a great variety of teams across a wide range of different functions. This will be an intellectually challenging role and will also increase the profile of the role holder and will allow insights to many parts of the business in which the role holder may wish to further their career in the longer term. The role holder will develop strong risk and control expertise and influencing skills, which they will be able to apply in future management roles.

Skills and experience we're looking for:
- A good working understanding of how risks and controls are managed.
- Previous experience in Internal or External audit, or equivalent assurance role, is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable communicating at all grades.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
- Ability to work well within a team.

- Salary circa £45,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
- Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva's.
