Security Tester - VAPT Metholdology

Job Description : - Plan, execute, and document penetration testing engagements on various systems, including applications, networks, and infrastructure. - Identify and exploit security weaknesses using industry-standard tools and methodologies. - Analyze test results, assess risks associated with vulnerabilities, and prioritize remediation efforts. - Collaborate with developers and IT teams to provide clear recommendations for fixing vulnerabilities. - Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and testing techniques. - Participate in security audits, threat modeling exercises, and security awareness initiatives. - Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. What You Bring : - Strong understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and application security principles. - Experience with vulnerability assessment & penetration testing (VAPT) methodologies preferred. - Familiarity with IT security frameworks and compliance standards (i.e.,PCI DSS, NIST, ISO 27001) a plus. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams. - A passion for learning and staying current with evolving security threats and attack vectors. Bonus Points : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. - Industry-recognized security certifications like CISSP, OSCP, or CEH. - Experience with scripting languages (i.e., Python, Bash) for automating security testing tasks (ref:hirist.tech)
