Varahe Analytics - Technical Lead - Power BI & Tableau

Job Title : Power BI & Tableau Technical Lead. Work Location : Bengaluru (For Projects across India). Technical/Functional Skills : Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, Excel, MS Office. Experience Required : 5 years. Responsibilities : - Lead a team of Tableau report developers in the task of performing Power BI POC and migration from Tableau to Power BI. - Requirement gathering from the customer (Survey teams, PI team, Core team etc.) to understand the business requirements and do analysis along with the Data Architect. - Capture business rules and analytical requirements from the users. - Prepare project technical and functional documents such as design documents, business requirements documents. - Provide best practices and methodologies recommendations after identifying gaps, issues for implementation in Power BI and/or Tableau environments. - Hands-on technical lead of a team of BI developers who work on interactive dashboards and reports to deliver key insights to the clients for making informed and intelligent business decisions. - Provide effective solutions to the Power BI/Tableau development team and monitor progress. - Work closely with Project Director, State Managers and Data Engineering Team during report/dashboard development and testing phases to ensure that the results are as per user expectations. - Ensure to follow Scrum/Kanban based delivery for continuous customer service. - Establish iteration goals in line with business goals and create tasks as per the product backlog in Sprint Planning session. - Generic Managerial Skills. - Communicate effectively with different teams. - Remain flexible to changing priorities, open to new ideas. - Mentor a team of Power BI/Tableau developers. Required Skills : - Mastery of Power BI and/or Tableau suite of tools. - Power BI preferred Expertise in SQL. - Prior experience leading a team of Power BI and/or Tableau BI developers. - Understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and tools. - Working knowledge of Python. - Working knowledge of Excel. - Working knowledge of MS Office tools. - Self-motivated team player, detail-oriented with good communication and time management skills (closely adheres to deadlines). - Some exposure and understanding of Agile methodologies. Desired Skills : - Mastery of both Power BI and Tableau suite of tools. - Experience with migrating from Tableau to Power BI. - Experience in Data Warehouse technologies. - Expertise in Python. - Prior experience analyzing political survey data. - Prior experience working with PostgreSQL. - Understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS. - Some exposure to Web Applications and how they interact with BI tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau. - Experience working in fast-paced Agile based environment.
