Senior Database Administrator - SQL Server

Role : Sr. DBA Experience : 8-11 Years Job Location : Vashi Navi : - Lead migrations of SQL Server databases to new environments. - Apply patches and service packs to ensure optimal SQL Server performance and security. - Design and configure High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions to minimize downtime and data loss risk. - Implement data replication strategies for efficient data synchronization across environments. - Automate database alerts to proactively identify and address potential issues. - Manage database backups, integrity checks, index rebuilds, and statistics updates through automated maintenance plans. - Troubleshoot database locking issues, including deadlocks, blocking, and lock timeouts. - Participate in bridge calls and resolve P1 and P2 database incidents. - Implement database schema changes in a controlled development environment. - Collaborate closely with application developers to test, configure, and optimize database performance based on application needs. - Apply table partitioning techniques to optimize database performance and scalability. Manage database object deployments to Integration, QA, UAT, and Production environments. - Provide daily support for high-volume OLTP (Online Transaction Processing) environments on SQL Server. - Identify root causes of production database issues and work with developers to resolve them effectively. - Continuously monitor and tune database performance for optimal efficiency, with a focus on creating missing indexes. - Leverage Extended Events features for in-depth performance analysis and troubleshooting. - Stay up-to-date with the latest SQL Server technologies and best practices. - Document database processes and procedures for future reference. - Maintain a strong understanding of data security principles and best : - 8-10 years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a strong focus on SQL Server. - Proven experience in migrating, patching, and maintaining SQL Server databases. - In-depth knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions for SQL Server. - Experience with database replication technologies. - Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell) for automating database tasks. - Experience with database monitoring tools and alerting solutions. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex database issues. - Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices. - Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
