Guidewire Developer - PolicyCenter/BillingCenter

Job Description : Responsibilities : - Guidewire Development : Design, develop, and implement solutions on the Guidewire platform (Policy Center, Billing Center, Claim Center) based on business requirements. - Customization : Customize Guidewire products by writing Gosu code (Guidewire's proprietary language) and configuring application settings to meet specific business needs. - Integration : Develop and implement integrations between Guidewire and external systems such as payment gateways, document management systems, and other third-party applications. - Technical Analysis : Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and QA teams to analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Troubleshooting and Support : Identify and resolve issues in Guidewire applications, ensuring smooth functionality and performance. - Testing : Participate in unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing to ensure high-quality software delivery. - Documentation : Write and maintain technical documentation for all code changes, configurations, and customizations. - Performance Tuning : Optimize system performance by analyzing and tuning application performance to meet performance benchmarks. Required Skills and Qualifications : - Experience : 5 years of development experience with Guidewire (Policy Center, Billing Center, Claim Center, Rating Engine). - Technical Expertise : Proficiency in Gosu scripting language, Java, and J2EE technologies. - Integration Experience : Experience with Guidewire DataHub, Guidewire InfoCenter, and integrating Guidewire with other systems via APIs, web services, and messaging. - Database Management : Strong experience with SQL databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server) and familiarity with XML and JSON. - Agile Methodologies : Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence). - Version Control : Knowledge of version control systems like Git and tools such as Jenkins for CI/CD. - Cloud Exposure : Experience with cloud-based deployment of Guidewire systems is a plus (e.g., AWS, Azure). - Communication : Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team Qualifications : - Certification : Guidewire Certification (e.g., Certified BillingCenter/PolicyCenter/ClaimCenter Developer). - Insurance Domain Knowledge : Understanding of insurance processes, workflows, and terminologies. - Ability to mentor junior developers and guide them in resolving complex technical issues.
