Data Integration Specialist - ETL

Position Summary : We are seeking an experienced Data Integration Specialist / ETL Data Engineer with expertise in integrating data from SAP BW, HANA, and external sources into SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ETL processes and tools, as well as a strong understanding of data governance and compliance requirements specific to the pharmaceutical industry. Key Responsibilities : Data Integration & ETL Process Management : - Design, develop, and manage ETL processes to integrate data from SAP BW, HANA, and external sources into SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). - Ensure seamless and accurate data transfer across systems, optimizing ETL processes for performance and reliability. ETL Tools Expertise : - Utilize ETL tools such as SAP Data Services, Informatica, and other industry-standard tools to extract, transform, and load data into SAC. Data Governance & Compliance : - Ensure that all data integration processes comply with data governance standards and pharmaceutical industry regulations, including data privacy and security requirements. - Maintain high standards of data quality, security, and compliance, adhering to GxP and FDA guidelines. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams : - Work closely with business analysts, data scientists, and IT teams to understand business requirements and deliver scalable data integration solutions. - Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, supply chain, and operations to ensure proper data flow and availability for reporting and analytics. Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization : - Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data integration issues across systems. - Optimize existing ETL processes for efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, minimizing downtime and enhancing data availability. Data Modeling & Analytics Support : - Support the design and maintenance of data models in SAC, ensuring data from various sources is structured and available for reporting and analytics purposes. - Assist in developing data pipelines to support SAC reports and dashboards, ensuring seamless data flow. Continuous Improvement : - Stay updated on the latest ETL tools and techniques, SAC developments, and data integration best practices. - Recommend improvements to existing data integration architectures to enhance performance and compliance with evolving business needs. Skill Requirements : Data Integration & ETL Expertise : - Strong expertise in integrating data from SAP BW, SAP HANA, and external sources into SAP Analytics Cloud. - Proficiency in ETL tools such as SAP Data Services, Informatica, and other relevant tools. Data Governance & Compliance : - Knowledge of data governance principles and compliance requirements specific to the pharmaceutical industry, including GxP, FDA, and other regulatory standards. Technical Skills : - Hands-on experience in data modeling, ETL process optimization, and data quality management. - Strong understanding of data pipelines and data integration architectures. Experience : Data Integration & ETL : - Minimum 5 years of experience in data integration and ETL processes, with a focus on data extraction, transformation, and loading into analytics systems. SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) : - Minimum 2 years of experience working with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), specifically with data integration from SAP BW and SAP HANA. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience with cloud-based data platforms and big data technologies. - Familiarity with data privacy, GDPR, and HIPAA compliance in pharmaceutical data environments. - Knowledge of API integration and real-time data ingestion techniques (ref:hirist.tech)
