Build & Development Infrastructure Support Engineer

Position : CVD Platform Build and Dev Infrastructure support service Location : Bangalore Mode : Hybrid (3 days WFO) JD : CVD Platform Build and Dev Infrastructure support service Number of VMs : 600 VMs with Windows and Linux flavors Virtual infrastructure : 3 vcenters, 24 VMware ESXi servers Location : Bangalore, India Mandatory Skills : VMWare, Linux, Windows, Scripting (Powershell / CLI) - Infrastructure administration and lifecycle management of product security assessment environment (SAVE)and ensure uptime for the test environment - Access control management of security tools, staging shared folders, deployment server and vcenter server in the SAVE environment - Periodic backup of permissions and configurations in SAVE vcenter and staging folders - Support NVIDIA vGPU environments essential for MR image processing tests using VMware technologies. - Install and operationalize R&D infrastructure needed for the product development lifecycle activities (e.g., STT Regression, SWID R10, SWID R12, Minimal Teima, MR Mainline Auto Integrator, etc) - Install, manage, troubleshoot VMware ESXi servers, vCenter servers (vSphere version 6.7, 7.0, 8.0) as per specific business needs - (vcenter key services, vSphere cluster features, datastores, virtual networks to name a few) - Utilize automation tools and scripting languages for repetitive tasks and process improvement - Automating VMware virtual infrastructure administration using PowerCLI - Deployment and lifecycle management of VMs by adhering to Philips process and security guidelines, install and configure Windows and Linux operating systems and applications on the VMs - Maintain high-available and secure R&D infrastructure and thereby ensure the quality of software development environment - Apply software updates on ESXi hypervisors, vCenter appliances, Windows and Linux OS - Creating VM snapshots, cloning, creating VM templates, p2v/v2v conversions on need basis - Troubleshooting performance and non-availability issues of VMs, ESXi and vCenter servers (VCSA) - Perform infrastructure performance tests needed for product R&D purposes - Execute infrastructure change requests as per business demands and ensure smooth handover - Monitor and address hardware issues in the infrastructure running MR and IAP products, handling necessary break fixes with relevant vendors such as HPE, DELL, IBM, etc. (ref:hirist.tech)
