SAP MDG Consultant

Location : [Rohini - Corporate Office] Department : SAP Team Employment Type : [Full-time] Job Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MDG Consultant to join our SAP team and support the implementation, configuration, and management of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) in the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP MDG, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of master data management processes. As part of the team, you will play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and governance across critical enterprise processes. Key Responsibilities : - Lead the implementation of MDG solutions in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. - Configure MDG to align with business requirements and best practices. - Define and implement data governance policies and procedures. - Integrate MDG with other SAP modules (e.g. , MM, SD, FI, CO) and third-party systems. - Ensure seamless data flow and consistency across systems. - Monitor data quality and identify data inconsistencies. - Implement data cleansing and enrichment processes. - Define and enforce data quality standards. - Design and optimize master data processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. - Implement workflows and approvals to ensure data governance. - Customize MDG to meet specific business needs, including custom fields and validations. - Configure data models, workflows, and user roles. - Develop and maintain a robust data governance framework. - Define data ownership, access controls, and security measures. - Implement data retention and archiving policies. - Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for MDG issues. - Resolve system errors and performance problems. - Develop and deliver training materials for end-users and administrators. - Create comprehensive documentation for MDG processes and configurations. - Collaborate with business users, technical teams, and project managers. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. - Manage expectations and resolve conflicts. Skills and Qualifications : - Experience : 5 years of experience in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), specifically with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. - Technical Expertise : Strong technical knowledge of SAP MDG architecture, configuration, and workflows. Experience in integrating MDG with other SAP modules (SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP FICO, etc.) and third-party systems is essential. - Master Data Domains : Expertise in the governance of key master data domains such as Material Master, Vendor Master, Customer Master, and Finance Master Data. - S/4HANA Knowledge : Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud environments and understanding of the differences between on-premise and cloud MDG solutions. - Tools and Methodologies : Familiarity with SAP Fiori, SAP Cloud Platform, and data quality tools. - Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, workflows, and approval processes. - Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to analyze complex issues, troubleshoot effectively, and develop solutions to ensure optimal MDG functionality. - Communication : Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with business and technical teams. Capable of documenting technical solutions clearly and providing end-user training. Education and Certifications : - Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. - SAP MDG certifications or relevant SAP S/4HANA certifications preferred. Preferred Experience : - Experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud implementations. - Experience in data migration and data conversion for MDG projects. - Knowledge of SAP Activate Methodology and Agile project management practices (ref:hirist.tech)
