SAP ABAP/BTP Developer

As an SAP ABAP and BTP Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing innovative, cost-efficient, and customer-centric solutions in ABAP and using various services on BTP Platform such as 'Business Application Studio', 'SAP Build apps, 'SAP Build process automation', 'SAP Workzone' etc. Your efforts will align with the new Digital Transformation (DTX) operating model of the company, ensuring solutions meet the business needs and strategic objectives. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, leveraging your expertise to support the design and execution of projects that drive efficiency, innovation, and excellence. Your contributions will be integral to the success of company's digital transformation initiatives, delivering high-quality solutions that enhance overall business performance. Key Accountabilities for SAP ABAP and BTP Developer : ABAP Development : - Design, develop, and maintain custom SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, forms, and enhancements (User Exits, BADI, BAPI, and IDocs). - Develop and enhance SAP solutions for SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP Business Suite using ABAP programming and Fiori/UI5 applications. - Collaborate with functional teams to provide solutions that align with business requirements and optimize SAP system performance. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ABAP-based applications and interfaces. SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) Development : - Design, automate and implement cloud-based solutions using SAP BTP services (e.g., SAP business application studio, SAP Mobile Services, SAP Fiori, SAP Build etc.). - Work on integrating on-premise SAP systems with SAP BTP, including data migration and developing cloud-based applications. - Develop and deploy applications and services using SAP BTP tools such as SAP Business Application Studio, SAP Fiori Elements, and SAP Cloud SDK. - Enhance data processing and analytics capabilities using SAP BTP's advanced data and AI services. Collaboration & Optimization : - Work closely with business analysts and SAP functional consultants to design solutions that meet business requirements. - Continuously assess and improve the performance, scalability, and security of SAP systems. - Participate in code reviews, ensuring the quality and maintainability of ABAP code and cloud-based solutions. - Use SAP BTP CI/CD, Transport management services for managing the code in various BTP subaccounts. - Provide support during project implementation and post-implementation phases, ensuring the smooth operation of SAP solutions. Project and System Lifecycle Management : - Participate in full project lifecycle from requirements gathering and design to testing, deployment, and support. - Assist in the development of test plans, support user testing, and resolve any issues identified during testing or production. - Keep up to date with the latest SAP technologies and trends, including advancements in SAP BTP, S/4HANA, and cloud integration. Knowledge and Skills Required for SAP BTP Developers : - SAP ABAP : Strong proficiency in ABAP programming, including custom development, reports, forms, BAPIs, BADIs, and IDocs. - SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) : Experience with SAP BTP tools, SAP Build automation, cloud development, integration services, and Fiori/UI5 development. - Solid understanding of integration techniques, such as API-based integration, RESTful services, OData, and cloud-based solutions. - Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, SAP HANA Cloud. - Knowledge of SAP HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, or related services is a plus. - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices for SAP projects. - Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment and communicate effectively with business and technical teams. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills : - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. - Analytical mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
