TechChefz - Network Security Engineer - Firewall/VAPT

The Role : We are seeking a motivated Network Security Engineer to join our growing team in Noida, India. You will play a vital role in safeguarding our IT infrastructure by implementing and maintaining robust security protocols. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional with 1-3 years of experience to gain valuable hands-on experience in network security within a dynamic company. Responsibilities : - Manage and maintain network security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs. - Monitor network activity for suspicious behavior and implement strategies to mitigate security risks. - Configure and maintain network security policies and procedures. - Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing (or assist with these activities). - Respond to security incidents and implement appropriate containment and recovery measures. - Install, configure, and troubleshoot network devices (e.g, routers, switches) as needed. - Provide technical support and guidance to staff on security best practices. - Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities. Required Skills & Experience : - 1-3 years of experience in network administration or a related IT field. - Strong understanding of network security concepts, principles, and best practices. - Working knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and other security technologies. - Familiarity with network troubleshooting methodologies and tools. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines effectively. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Skills & Experience : - Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems. - Experience with scripting languages (e.g, Python, Bash). - Certifications in network security (e.g, Security, CCNA Security) or related areas.
