About the Role : As a Senior Engineering Manager Frontend Technologies at Cleartrip, you'll be a strategic leader who shapes the future of our user experience (UX) across Cleartrip's travel platform. You'll guide a high-performing team of 10-15 frontend engineers and engineering managers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Responsibilities : - Lead the strategic direction for Cleartrip's frontend technology stack, aligning it with the company's vision, business goals, and product roadmap. - Build and manage a high-performing team of frontend engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning. - Champion technical excellence by mentoring senior engineers, identifying talent gaps, and implementing programs to address them. - Partner with Engineering Leaders, Product Management, Design, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless frontend integration and flawless user experiences. - Architect and design scalable, robust, and maintainable frontend solutions that meet Cleartrip's performance and user experience requirements. - Oversee the implementation of best practices for frontend development and ensure consistent adherence across the team. - Drive the continuous improvement of development processes, including CI/CD pipelines and code review practices. - Attract, recruit, and retain top frontend engineering talent through a strong employer branding strategy and effective interviewing techniques. - Stay abreast of emerging frontend technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact on Cleartrip's platform. - Identify and implement strategies to mitigate technical risks and ensure the smooth operation of Cleartrip's frontend infrastructure. Requirements : - BE/B. Tech (or an equivalent degree) in Computer Science or a related field. - Minimum of 8 years of experience in frontend engineering, with at least 4 years in the managerial role. - Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing frontend engineering teams. - In-depth understanding of modern frontend technologies and architectures for building highly scalable and performant web applications. - Solid experience with a comprehensive frontend technology stack, including (but not limited to) : - ReactJS (Next.js) with 5 years of experience. - Experience with building Single Page Applications (SPAs) and PWAs (Progressive Web Apps), server-side rendering (SSR) or static site generation (SSG) techniques. - In-depth knowledge of CSS frameworks like Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap. - Familiarity with TypeScript for strong type safety. - Experience with state management libraries like Redux or MobX. - Experience with UI component libraries like Material-UI or Ant Design. - Experience with frontend testing frameworks like Jest and Cypress. - Experience with build tools like Webpack or Parcel. - Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Preferred Skills : - Experience with React Native or other hybrid mobile app frameworks. - Experience with GraphQL or Relay for efficient data fetching. - Experience with containerization technologies like Docker. - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure (a plus). - Experience with accessibility best practices (WCAG). - Experience in building and scaling large-scale frontend systems.
