Junior Electrical Engineer The Junior Electrical Engineer works as part of a team to develop and support products within the Technology groups. Work is usually performed with the oversight of a more senior Engineer and within defined parameters. The Junior Electrical Engineer also develops skills to make work decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. As Junior Electrical Engineer, you will be involved in Electric Motors and Generators functional specification, machines selection and integration with other components, testing and installation support for our customers. You will have the opportunity to scout innovative technologies and originate ideas to expand our portfolio, contribute to programs for technology development, and drive electrification trends. As a Junior Electrical Engineer, you will take part in: Designing and development activities for new products introduction, executing the program according to plans. Performing technical selection of electrical items (e.g. Electrical MV generators, Electrical MV motor, MV Variable Speed Drive Systems), sizing and specifying key electrical equipment at plant level, including LV / MV / HV equipment (e.g. MCC, switchgears, substations), LV / MV cables, transformers, e-houses / local electrical rooms, electrical protection systems, etc. Formulating functional purchase specifications/data sheet and close technical alignment of supplier technical proposals. Managing technical documentation during the engineering development phase following up with supplier and customer up to finalization. Carrying out engineering design reviews with suppliers and customers to ensure compliance with customer contractual specifications and project applicable international rules. Participating in FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) for main/critical items and support to the manufacturing team for internal testing. Engineering site support during plant commissioning and start-up. To be successful in this role you will: Have a Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar with proven expertise in Electrical disciplines. Have substantial technical knowledge of electrical item design and selection, e.g. rotating machines, MV/LV panels, variable speed drive systems. Be able to work with cross-functional teams within a global-matrix environment. Be a problem solver, with an analytical approach to identifying root causes and implementing solutions. Be able to work in a multi-cultural team and willing to travel worldwide up to 10% of the time for short customer meetings and/or site/test bed support. Be fluent in spoken and written English.
