About the Role

This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of timely and quality management information to aid in the overall business strategy and operational goals of the Corporate Solutions division.

The role holder will liaise with internal stakeholders including Senior Management, Finance, Actuarial and Group Office. External stakeholders include intermediaries, reinsurers, industry associations and regulators.

Management Reporting (50%)
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of management reports. This includes internal reports for decision making by local and group management, and regulatory and industry reports submitted to MAS / LIA.
  • Perform analysis on financial indicators and performance metrics and provide inputs for business and strategy planning

Tableau Dashboards (20%)
  • Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards that provide quality management information to support business monitoring, decision-making and business strategy

Reinsurance Management and Administration (15%)
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports for reinsurance and pool administration, including preparing regulatory and industry reports to internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in the review, negotiation, and analysis of reinsurance treaties
  • Support the review of treaty documentation and ensure adherence to Group guidelines

Others (15%)
  • Other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned in order to meet overall business strategic, financial and operational goals.

Requirements:
  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Studies / Business or Data Analytics / Mathematics & Statistics
  • Experience - 2 to 7 years of working experience in Actuarial / Group Insurance (Employee Benefits) / Data analytics / Management reporting / Other business support functions involved in working with large and complex datasets
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access)
    • Proficient with SQL and at least one programming language
    • Experience with BI tools, e.g. Tableau, Quickview, Power BI, etc.
  • Other Qualities
    • Meticulous and detail-oriented
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Able to work both independently and within a team
    • Able to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities within tight timelines
