Job Description
SUMMARY OF THE POSITION Person who analyzes needs, designs and applies professional techniques in the field of administrative methods and systems, in order to improve service delivery. SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS Under the direction of the Director of medical affairs and services, and in close collaboration with the chief of dentistry, the incumbent is responsible to support all activities related to the development, implementation and quality control sustaining to the dental electronic record and software. The incumbent acts as a super-user for the DER (Dental Electronic Record). More specifically: Serve as a super-user for the training and support of the teams and ensure compliance with computer security and access to confidentiality rules; Training, evaluation and skills updating activities for users; Responsible to provide appropriate system access according to determined users profile; Establish links with the IT support department, archives and any other pertinent collaborators pertinent to the system; In collaboration with the dental clinical and administrative teams, analyze the clinical impacts of implementation of the new and updated system on the organization of the work and identify appropriate solutions; Check the piloting and integration of clinical functionalities; Organize, carry out and coordinate the activities planned in the implementation and training schedule; Participates in the identification of training priorities; Identifies communication and information activities arising from the project; Develop tools to facilitate the work of users and ensure understanding; Train new users through hands-on on -site sessions, or by using remote web-based tools; Ensure quality assurance control of administrative processes by users; Respond to user needs on an ad hoc basis; Assist the customer support team in case of problems. Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Administration, Human science, Social Sciences or other relevant academic discipline; Certification or experience in clinical computer is an asset. Experience: Five year of relevant experience in a computerized dental clinical environment; Understanding of clinical and administrative processes related to the management of dental clinics One year of relevant experience in training or equivalent knowledge. Please note that applicants who do not meet the above-mentioned requirements may be considered for this position if they possess the following alternative profile: College Diploma in Dental Hygiene cumulated with five (5) years of appropriate work experience. Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent critical thinking, organizational and decision-making skills; Knowledge of MSSS administrative regulations, their network and programs, and current trends; Ability in the identification and analysis of the administrative systems needs; Knowledge of administrative methods and techniques, budget management, data analysis, reporting, and information systems; Ability in administrative procedures and program planning and monitoring, including the development of policies and program manuals and administrative quality assurance systems; Good professional record in administrative systems in a similar type of research environment; Excellent leadership and teamwork skills; Excellent computer literacy; Excellent communication skills, both written and presentation; Ability in office related computer applications; Knowledge of Traditional Eenou/Eeyou and/or First Nations is an asset Language: Fluent in English and French; Fluency in Cree is an asset. Other: Willing to travel when needed; A test on Word and Excel is a possibility.
