Job Description

BOSS Energy Consulting Ltd – Membrane Specialist


BOSS Energy has been retained by a leading carbon capture company seeking to hire a Membrane Specialist to join their German office. They are seeking a well-rounded individual to help them achieve the aims to capture 1,000 gigatons of CO2 by 2030. This role will assist with their next steps in realization of the first prototype plant.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and optimize membrane materials and systems for carbon capture applications.
  • Research new membrane technologies to enhance gas separation processes.
  • Lead laboratory testing and performance evaluations of membrane systems.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate membrane solutions into commercial products.
  • Provide technical guidance on membrane selection, scaling, and durability.
  • Monitor system performance in pilot and commercial applications, suggesting improvements.



About you:


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with membrane technology, preferably in gas separation.
  • Expertise in polymer membranes, gas permeation, and materials chemistry.
  • Proven ability to develop and scale-up membrane-based systems for industrial applications.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in laboratory testing and performance data analysis.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability goals in carbon capture.
