Job Description

Technical Business Analyst - Hybrid (Oxfordshire) - £70k


Our client is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic Technical BA/PM with attention to detail and excellent communication skills that will be responsible for leading the BA/PM function within the Development team and also be responsible for the QA process.


The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, project management expertise, and hands-on experience in software testing, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer and business needs.


This role is a great opportunity for someone who is a self-starter, pro-active and keen to enhance their technical and business skills set through both hands-on experience and training.


Business Analysis

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from key stakeholders (clients, product owners, and internal teams).
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
  • Conduct gap analysis, workflow analysis, and process improvement studies.
  • Act as the liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of project scope and requirements.


Project Management

  • Plan, execute, and manage multiple fintech projects concurrently, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop project schedules, timelines, and resource allocation plans.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, status updates, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and ensure any issues are promptly addressed.


Key Skills


  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the fintech or financial services sector.
  • Proven experience in business analysis, project management, and software testing in Agile environments.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, MS Project).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and requirements-gathering skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work effectively, and meet deadlines.
