Job Description
Trainee Flooring Planner / Estimator
Are you a self motivated individual who is looking for a great career opportunity and to join a leading manufacturer.
Due to our continued success and growth we now require a junior flooring planner / estimator to be based at our head office in St Helens.
Full training will be given to enable you to produce a material takeoff, Producing 2D visualisations of how the carpet is to be manufactured using our own bespoke software
Follow floor plans and interpret customer's requirements
Establish the production roll requirements
Verify all aspects of production and installation
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
As this role is quite specialised the successful candidate will receive full appropriate training in all areas to enable the job to be completed to Company standards, however, the successful candidate must:
* Have excellent numeracy skills
* Experience of Microsoft Excel
* AUTOCAD knowledge would be preferable but not essential as the calculations and initial layouts are done by hand
* Ability to adapt to bespoke software
* Be methodical and well organized
* Able to take initiative and follow procedures
