Housing Quantity Surveyor
Location: Preston
Role Type: Permanent
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per year
About the Role:
A leading construction company is seeking a skilled and experienced Housing Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Preston. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality housing projects, managing the commercial aspects of the projects, from initial estimates to final accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates
Monitor project costs and identify potential cost savings
Manage variations and claims
Prepare and submit interim and final accounts
Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify potential issues
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standardsAbout You:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience:
Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
Proven experience in quantity surveying within the social housing sector
Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
