Mechanical Designer - Building Services
£50,000 to £80,000
Stoke On Trent - Staffordshire
My client is a multi-disciplined company providing M&E building services design and sustainability advice for a wide range of developments including commercial, office, industrial, residential and medical. They are on the lookout for an experienced Mechanical Designer to join them on a permanent basis.
Duties include:
* Work with and assist other Senior Mechanical & Electrical Engineers together with other members of a multidiscipline design team
* Produce estimates and programmes for input to projects
* Liaise with clients and other design disciplines, attending internal and external meetings.
* Produce briefs, specifications, and take a role in the review and checking of design drawings
* Write technical reports and produce detailed calculations
Requirments:
* Qualification to HNC Standard as a minimum in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience and knowledge
* Knowledge of Autodesk Products (Autocad, Inventor, RECAP) plus other 3D systems
* Competent working within standards and procedures (BS 8888).
* Knowledge and experience of UK regulations is a benefit ie LOLER, Machinery Directive, CDM
* Input to Designer Risk Assessments (DRAs) and Outline Installation Method Statements (OIMS)
* Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
