Job Title: Lead Mechanical & Piping EngineerLocation: Warrington, HybridJob Type: Permanent, Full-timeSalary: Between £80,000 - £85,000
Job Summary: We are representing a leading engineering and maintenance provider, supporting customers across various sectors including chemical, petrochemical, nuclear, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, power and energy, utilities, renewables, and food and beverage. We are seeking a Lead Mechanical and Piping Engineer to join our team and lead the design and implementation of mechanical and piping systems in multi-discipline engineering projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:Lead mechanical and piping design within multi-discipline engineering projects (EPCM or EPC)Act as the technical authority for the mechanical and piping discipline, supporting the Engineering Manager in achieving business targetsManage and complete mechanical and piping engineering and design within budget and planning, including change control and consistency with other disciplinesBe client-facing and manage client expectations regarding project scope and deliverablesParticipate in internal and external design reviews and ensure design acceptance by the clientOversee the quality of mechanical and piping engineering and designLead projects in a multi-discipline environment, coordinating mechanical and piping engineering and design with other disciplines (e.g., civil and structural, process and automation)Carry out, check, and approve engineering and design estimates, control and report costs on allocated projectsDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructionsProvide technical support and troubleshooting for mechanical and piping systemsQualifications, Skills, and Experience:Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical and piping engineering, preferably in a multi-discipline environmentProficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for creating detailed technical drawingsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independentlyWillingness to travel to project sites as requiredPerks and Benefits:Excellent salary and benefits packageOpportunities for professional development and career advancementCollaborative and supportive work environmentExcellent pension and holiday allowance # 4623940
