Our privately owned and well established Surrey based client renowned for creating impressive luxury homes in hand-picked locations across the south of England are seeking a quality focused Site Manager to be based at their new 50 unit development in Berkshire.
With each home combining traditional detailing with contemporary design, built to the highest standards by innovative architects and skilled craftsmen, this appointment is essential for the business growth.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Site Manager who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of sites, ensuring compliance with all relevant building regulations and Health and Safety regulations and logistics management.
The Site Manager will maintain excellent customer service, ensuring that you meet the company’s sales and customer care standards as well as represent the company positively with all external contacts and establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues.

Main responsibilities include:
* To manage the day-to-day running of the building site, ensuring that the development is built to agreed standards, using specified drawings and instruction, ensuring the overall build comes in on schedule.
* Ensure that company Health and Safety, Environment, Waste Management, Sales and Customer Care policies and procedures are strictly adhered.
* Take ownership of agreed build programmes at pre-start meetings.
* Manage all subcontractors work to ensure they are working within the required specification and adhering to all company policies.
* To build and maintain effective working relationships with the sub-contractors, holding regular meetings during the build programme to manage and monitor workloads against the key date’s schedule.
* Ensure site presentation is maintained at the correct standard at all times, including all perimeters, hoarding etc. and ensure site security and good practice is maintained at all times.
* Ensure sensible level of stock control in accordance with build requirements including proper checking and recording of deliveries.
* Thoroughly inspect and snag each plot prior to each key stage inspection and carry out frequent visual inspections and site tours.
* To ensure all relevant site records are maintained and kept up to date, including building registers, safety plans, site diaries and progress reports.
* To issue weekly reports to the Construction Director Including Progress, Weekly OHS&E checklist.
* To ensure the quality control process and stage sign offs are maintained at all times for all stages.
* To liaise directly with the sales team, chairing regular meetings to ensure the smooth interaction and handover between the build function and sales department.
* To chair regular project review meetings and produce minutes and issue accordingly.
Skills and Knowledge
Qualifications
* Relevant CSCS card holder qualification and associated education level.
* Current SMSTS, First Aid and Scaffold Inspection qualification.
* Substantial experience of the construction industry property, particularly high end housing building.
Skills
* Experience of dealing with and building relationships with contractors.
* Experience of project management, including the ability to oversee the delivery of major construction projects of all sizes.
* Experience of producing and maintaining a Build Programme.
* Experience of various sized residential schemes.
* Proven experience of implementing safe systems of working.
* Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings in relation to construction and building process.
* Communicates clearly and influences well under pressure.
* Presents spoken and written information clearly and concisely
