Grease & Fire Damper Operative

Job Description
Location: Bristol area
Starting Salary £95 per day
Shifts: Working day, night, and weekend shifts, varying from week to week (flexibility required)
Our client is a family-run business who have been operating for over forty years, serving the facilities management, property management and catering industries nationally. Their teams are currently supporting schools, universities and other educational facilities, private companies, government establishments, sports stadiums and hospitals to achieve compliance. They help building owners and managers reduce their risk by providing specialist fire safety services.
Job Overview:
* Teamwork: Work as part of a two-man team.
* Support: Assist the Team Leader to ensure jobs are completed to a high standard.
* Documentation: Help in taking pre and post clean photographs and completing post clean reports.
* Driving: Share driving responsibilities to and from work with the Team Leader, as required.
Job Responsibilities:
* Testing and inspecting fire dampers in ductwork systems to ensure that they were compliant and fully functioning.
* Repairing where possible fire damper and replacing fusible links.
* Replacing and servicing fire dampers.
* Carrying out allocated service/remedial repair work with an agreed schedule.
* Fitting access doors.
* Fitting of removable ducting and changing of filters and fan belts.
* Communicate to all levels of personnel.
Candidate Requirements:
* Must live in the Bristol region.
* Hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Ability to obtain DBS clearance for high-security sites.
* Physically fit and confident working at heights.
* Comfortable working day, night, and weekend shifts, varying from week to week.
* Willing to work away when required (accommodation and meals provided).
* Knowledge of Fire Damper testing would be advantageous but not essential.
* Experience and competent to carry out planned maintenance works to all air handling units.
* Able to work within a team.
