Role Overview:
As a CAD & SolidWorks Specialist, you will report to the Project Director and collaborate with all departments to oversee projects from conception to completion. This is an office-based position with some travel required for client and supply chain meetings, so a driving license is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee manufacturing equipment and machinery projects from start to finish.
Lead and design, liaising with sales departments and customers.
Produce comprehensive and accurate BOMs for equipment.
Create manufacturing/assembly drawings.
Prepare for site installations by liaising with customers.
Collaborate with internal electrical and software departments to meet design parameters.
Continuously improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
Maintain and update standard product models and BOMs.
Evaluate and implement engineering change requests.
Provide after-sales support in collaboration with sales/spares departments.
Provide accurate costing for sales and ongoing projects.Key Performance Indicators:

Timely submission of drawings to meet customer deadlines.
Reduction in redraws.Knowledge & Skills:

Degree in Mechanical/CAD/Engineering (2:1 or above).
Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D.
Experience with AutoCAD is beneficial.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office products.
Knowledge of sheet metal design/fabrication.
Solid understanding of airflow mathematics and principles.
Excellent attention to detail.
Basic understanding of electrical systems.
Experience with food processing and medical equipment is a plus.
Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
Driven personality with a desire to develop a career.
