Job Description
One of the world's largest engineering product manufacturers in Oxfordshire are looking for Aircraft Fitters on a permanent basis. Your main duties will include conducting the certification of maintenance and repair on my client products. The role is to carry out the certification of maintenance and repair on Airbus rotorcraft AS350, AS355 Series, AS365, EC120, EC130, EC135, EC145 and EC155.
Fitter to License programme
The company will pay for a proportion of the module, exams, and accommodation while on the course
The programme starts after a successful 6-month probation period.
During the probation you will be required to complete 3 modules, funded by yourself
The remainder of the modules will be funded by the companyBond requirements cover 3 years within the company during the modules. The bond would remain in force for 2 years after they become a certifying engineer.
Main responsibilities
Accomplishment of Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by Maintenance Supervisors.
Working knowledge of UK CAA regulations most importantly Part 145, Part M and UK ANO requirements is essential.
Completion of maintenance, including product structure, power plant and mechanical and electrical systems. Replacement of avionic line replaceable units, requiring simple tests to prove their serviceability.
Supervision of maintenance fitters and the certification of their work.
Required to assist in day to day running of the area, including product movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.Knowledge and Skills
Candidates without a licence but with extensive aircraft maintenance experience that are in the process of studying for a licence will also be considered
5 Years' experience in a rotary environment. Type training on specific types will be given to a suitable candidate.
Due to the nature of this position, you will require DBS Security Clearance and be eligible for SC clearance. Applicants must meet any/all requirements of ITAR and Export Compliance Regulations. Travel within the UK or abroad to support related business requirements (not extensive) as required.Competitive Salary for the right candidate, 37.5 hours a week, 8.30am - 5pm with flexibility, 25 days holiday, Bupa, Denplan, 6% Pension, Share Plan, Travel Insurance, Car, Bike and Technology Purchase Scheme
