Job Description
Our client has won a series of projects to increase cyber security and control systems on Gas Compression Stations across the UK.
You will be working alongside a team of highly talented and motivated colleagues, within a resourceful and creative work environment. Ideally you will be based in the North West and will occasionally travel to site on the south coast and others as they come online.
You will lead and manage the development and delivery of construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil engineering disciplines along with substantial site construction management expertise and be able to effectively manage all key stakeholder relationships. Familiarity with NEC3/4 contracts and hands-on experience with early-stage works, design integration, engineering, and constructability are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Working knowledge of CDM Regs is important as our client is the Principal Contractor.
Knowledge of Temporary Works to oversee them will be important.
Support the Project Manager with the development of the programme to ensure all construction activities are planned and managed appropriately.
Support the project QHSE to ensure the highest level of health and safety throughout the construction activities.
Ensure construction information such as records and drawings are managed in accordance with their QMS
Manage multiple subcontract packages
Provide expertise and oversight during tender evaluations from the supply chain and oversee the development of construction estimates and manage expenditure within the agreed budget.
Provide construction support during commissioning phases as required.
Report regularly to the Project Manager and other senior leadership on progress, risks, and any issues arising.
Lead all construction specific meetings, workshops and discussions.
Competencies
EPC project experience with NEC3/4 forms of contract
Demonstrable experience in the delivery of complex construction projects, ideally within the Oil & Gas Industry, under the CDM 2015 Regulations.
Strong understanding of Process Safety including extensive experience of Formal Process Safety Assessments such as HAZID, HAZOP and HAZCON.
Accredited CSCS certification or equivalent.
SMSTS
SHEA Gas (trainable)
SCO 91 Certification (Desirable).
APMP accreditation (Desirable).
Candidates with experience of the UK’s Gas National Transmission System, Gas Construction or Utility Infrastructure projects highly desirable.
