Design Engineer - AutoCAD and Inventor

Our mission is to drive advancements in sustainable energy infrastructure, and we are looking for a skilled AutoCAD Design Engineer to help design components and systems that support power delivery and resilience.
The Role:
As an AutoCAD Design Engineer, you will be integral in developing 2D designs for sheet metal components and assemblies specific to power systems infrastructure. You will work alongside our engineering and project teams, producing precise technical drawings in AutoCAD and contributing to design reviews to ensure our products meet rigorous performance and safety standards. Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor for 3D design is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Create accurate 2D designs and technical drawings for sheet metal components, assemblies, and power systems solutions using AutoCAD.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise designs for manufacturing and cost efficiency.
Conduct design reviews and support design revisions to meet industry standards and customer specifications.
Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure designs align with the company’s quality and safety requirements.
Assist in the development of prototypes and testing of power systems products as needed.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D design, with a specialised focus on sheet metal design.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with Autodesk Inventor for 3D design.
Knowledge of power systems or electrical infrastructure would be beneficial.
