Job Description
We are currently looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer for our client, a developer of electrical vehicles who brings real engagement and emotion to driving electric performance cars. The successful candidate will design, develop, and validate electronic hardware systems, including control units, sensors, and communication interfaces for our high-performance electric vehicles.
The Senior Hardware Engineer will:
* Work alongside the electronics engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, and systems engineering, to ensure seamless integration of electronic systems.
* Define the test and validation programme for in-house developed hardware.
* Ensure compliance with automotive standards and regulations.
* Oversee the design, development, and validation of electronic hardware systems, including control units, sensors, and communication interfaces.
The Senior Hardware Engineer will have:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in electronics hardware development, preferably in the automotive industry.
* Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout.
* A good understanding of how to take a part, from concept to production in motorsport / niche automotive environment.
* Strong knowledge of automotive electronics including embedded systems, and communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
