Citrix Virtualization Engineer - Network Protocols

Experience : 3 to 8 Years. Location : Pune. Notice Period : Immediate Joiners Only. Role and Responsibilities : - Development and management of software packages for Windows operating systems: Create and test installation packages to ensure smooth installation and functionality. - Using "Login VSI Login Autoamtion Machine" to create silent installation packages and PowerShell or Python for Developing scripts and automation routines to simplify and standardize installation processes. - Ensuring software compatibility and system integration: Working with other IT departments to ensure that new software packages are seamlessly integrated into existing systems. - Perform testing and troubleshooting software installations: Analyze and troubleshoot installation issues to minimize downtime and increase user satisfaction. - Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute software deployments: participate in project meetings, create deployment plans, and coordinate installation processes. - Documentation of installation processes and procedures: Creation and maintenance of detailed technical documentation and instructions for internal and external use. - For documentation purposes a Confluence project is used for that. - Future plan - Create and manage master images for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops: Develop and automate master images to ensure consistent and repeatable installations. - Automating Master Image Creation Using Software Packaging: Using software packaging tools to create and update master images efficiently and at scale. - Currently Citrix "Machine Creation Services" MCS and "Citrix Windows Environment Management" WEM is used. Technical Competency : PowerShell : - Proficiency in the scripting language to automate installations and manage Windows environments. - Windows Installer (MSI, EXE): Knowledge of different installation formats and how to manage them. - SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager): Using SCCM to centrally manage and deploy software. - MDT (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit): Use of MDT to automate operating system and software deployment. - Active Directory: Management of user and computer objects, group policies, and other AD components. - Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V): Use of virtualization technologies to create test environments and manage virtual machines. - Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops: Manage and optimize Citrix environments, including the creation and maintenance of master images. - Network Fundamentals and Protocols: Understand network fundamentals to identify and troubleshoot installation issues caused by network settings. - Citrix Virtualization, Citrix Virtual Apps, Citrix Cloud, Powershell ,WindowsInstaller ,SCCM.
