Senior Quality Engineer - Automation Testing

Job Overview : As a Senior Quality Engineer - Automation at CredFlow, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and stability of our products. You will design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts, frameworks, and tools to ensure our applications are of the highest quality. Working closely with the development team, you will drive automation efforts, contribute to test strategy, and mentor junior engineers in best practices. Key Responsibilities : - Test Automation : Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to ensure comprehensive test coverage for web, mobile, and API applications. - Test Strategy : Collaborate with product and development teams to define test strategies, ensuring the implementation of both functional and non-functional requirements. - Continuous Integration : Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure rapid and reliable deployment cycles. - Performance Testing : Develop and execute performance and load tests to validate scalability and resilience under various conditions. - Mentorship : Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior quality engineers, guiding them in automation practices, tools, and test design. - Bug Detection & Reporting : Identify, log, and track defects found during automated and manual testing processes, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution. - Test Maintenance : Continuously improve and maintain automated tests, ensuring they are up to date with changes in the application. - Test Documentation : Document test cases, results, and issues clearly and concisely for internal stakeholders. - Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality of products and ensure that testing is done efficiently within agile sprints. - Exploratory Testing : While automation is key, engage in manual testing as necessary, especially for exploratory testing, edge cases, and complex scenarios. Qualifications : - Experience : 5 years of experience in quality engineering, with a focus on automation testing in agile environments. Technical Skills : - Strong experience in test automation using frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar. - Expertise in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Ruby. - Deep understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web application testing. - Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI) and techniques. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI to integrate test automation. - Experience with version control systems like Git. - Knowledge of performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerized environments (Docker) is a plus. Soft Skills : - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team. - Strong mentorship abilities to help develop the skills of junior team members. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment with evolving requirements.
