Job Title : Senior SAP BOBJ Consultant. Location : Bangalore. Job Type : Full-time. Experience Level : Senior/Experienced. Job Summary : We are seeking a highly experienced SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) Consultant to support and manage our existing BOBJ environment independently. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in SAP BOBJ with the ability to handle day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and performance optimization, ensuring the smooth functioning of the entire setup. This role is crucial for maintaining the reporting infrastructure, solving technical issues, and ensuring consistent and reliable performance with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities : - Manage the existing SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) environment, including administration, troubleshooting, and optimization. - Provide end-to-end support for BOBJ reports, universes, dashboards, and data sources. - Handle system monitoring, performance tuning, and routine maintenance of the BOBJ platform to ensure uninterrupted service. - Identify and resolve technical issues related to report generation, data inconsistencies, and system performance. - Manage upgrades, patches, and system configurations to maintain system health and ensure optimal performance. - Work closely with business users to provide technical support for existing reports, dashboards, and data visualization tools. - Implement security policies, access control, and user management in the BOBJ system. - Create and maintain documentation of system architecture, configurations, and processes. - Provide user training and ongoing support to ensure the effective use of BOBJ tools. - Ensure data integrity, consistency, and high availability of reports and analytics. - Act as a single point of contact for all SAP BOBJ-related issues, managing them independently and escalating where necessary. Required Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. - 5 years of experience in SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) with a focus on supporting and managing existing setups. - Hands-on experience with key BOBJ tools like Universe Designer (UDT/IDT), Web Intelligence (WebI), Crystal Reports, and Dashboards. - Strong knowledge of BOBJ administration, including user and security management, system monitoring, and troubleshooting. - Excellent SQL skills for querying, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. - Experience with data integration, data sources (e., SAP BW, SQL, and other databases), and ETL processes. - Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage BOBJ environments with minimal supervision. - Strong communication skills to interact with business users and technical teams effectively. Preferred Skills : - Experience with SAP BW integration with BOBJ. - Familiarity with other BI tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud or Tableau. - Knowledge of database management and data warehousing concepts. - SAP BOBJ certification is a plus.
