Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE Planning, coordinating, and developing schedules for large-scale Data Center construction projects across Europe. Ability to work at the project level alone or as part of a team to support the construction team and the project manager, with recurring schedule updates, special incidental work such as Time-Impact Analyses, resource loading, and Schedule generated payments. The Schedule Manager will manage and develop personal projects but will also manage and coordinate local Schedule Managers located in other countries (mostly outsourced). He will have to define and implement at Group level Schedule Process and Practices. The Regional Schedule Manager will report to the Group Construction planning manager. The role can be based in France/Italy/Spain or Poland. RESPONSIBILITIES Technical duties Project scheduling using Primavera P6 software or Microsoft Project in developing design and construction schedules for medium and large infrastructure projects (>€100 million). Analysis of project documents to identify potential project impacts. Establish, maintain and follow up plans/networks and resources for new and established projects in accordance with specific Planning procedures. Development and maintenance of the Baseline schedule including agreed S-curves and reporting formats. Development of project specific procedures including Work Breakdown Structure and progress measurement methods in accordance with specific requirements. Prepare reports as requested; progress, critical paths, deviations, forecasts. Prepare schedules as requested; detailed schedules, what-if simulations. Assure that any changes related to the scope of the contract get implemented into relevant plans. Implementation of sub-contractors plans into main schedule/plan including establishing reporting routines for sub-contractors and follow up of progress. Assuring good communication and follow up internal and external activities in the project. Reporting consequences/changes related to planned progress according to agreed reporting frequency. Actively work together with other Project Services disciplines to ensure quality in deliverables. Provide specialist skills, integrity and knowledge of key areas of planning. Understand projects’ needs; identify and address planning problems; develop and implement solutions. Train / mentor more planners. Accumulate and access historical data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting. Good knowledge of EVMS (Earned Value Management System). Quantitative Schedule Risk Management. Prepare and present Time-Impact Analyses (TIA). Analyze & comment schedule narratives issued by the assigned stakeholders. Interface with clients, attend regular meetings, and give statistical reports. Travel to projects sites as needed to participate in project meetings, develop schedules of project completion, and update schedules to identify work completed at the project sites. Other important responsibilities: Implement & Improve Schedule Management Process and Practices at Group level. Manage local planners of the GC’s & Owner’s Engineer. Ensure consistency of all Schedule at Platform level. Be the main Points of Contact for our External Customer for all subjects related to Schedule. REQUIREMENTS: Education equal to a bachelor’s or master’s degree in planning engineering discipline. Long and relevant work experience may compensate for lack of formal education. 8 – 12 years relevant planning experience. Advanced knowledge in key areas of planning techniques and analysis and a good understanding of current good engineering practice. Ability to lead and function within a planning team and across multiple projects. Ability to prioritize own workload. Manage time accordingly, manage changes within own remit on a project. Inform team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of program or budget. Demonstrable ability to work within time/budget constraints. Knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in English (engineering, construction). Solid analytical skills to collect and interpret data. Certifications: Construction Scheduling (CS). OSHA or equivalent. Soft skills Great communication skills. Strong work ethic. Ability to self-manage. Outstanding decision-making skills.
