Job Overview TE Connectivity has an exciting opportunity to join our team as our Distribution Sales Manager within the Global Application Tooling Division (GATD) business unit covering South Asia, MENA, and Europe. In order to best support the distribution strategy for the entire region, this person should be centrally located. The successful candidate will have the responsibility of managing the distribution channel and overall day-to-day business relationship between TE and strategic key distributors, collaborating with other TE BU’s, and aligning with overall Channel BU market focus. Accordingly, candidates should possess a strong Automotive/Transportation, Appliances, Industrial, and Mil-Aero background; Electrical/Energy experience is also extremely beneficial. The Distribution Sales Manager will report to the GATD Global Distribution Manager and will be responsible for promoting application tooling solutions within TE’s distribution channels. Also, the candidate will ensure proper alignment with GATD’s Global business plan and TE’s marketing, sales and financial goals. The ideal candidate will have a technical sales background with a desire to utilize their skills in distribution business development. The successful individual will be a strategic, future-oriented thinker that will proactively use business insight and relationship-building strengths to target products and associated existing and emerging markets for aggressive growth. This position will work together with Product Management, Product / Development Engineering, Field Service Engineering, and Sales & Marketing teams across GATD and all other TE business units to drive maximum penetration of TE’s application tooling within the GATD’s distribution channel. Responsibilities: Provide training and product awareness to TE’s strategic key distributors and TE business unit colleagues. Creative development and implementation of programs and methods for increasing TE’s market share within the distribution channel. Quarterly, mid-year, and year-end meetings with distribution partners, TE Channel and other BU field service, sales, and marketing team colleagues. Identify, evaluate, and develop ideas/sales leads for new products, extensions of existing products and new sales channels for application tooling within TE’s strategic key distributors. Work closely with TE’s MENA, South Asia, and Europe sales teams to maximize growth opportunities via distribution channel. Cross-BU collaboration to identify co-op marketing strategies for TE solutions. Collect and evaluate market information and competitive intelligence and communicate regularly with Global Distribution Manager to meet strategic goals and initiatives and identify new ones. Provide a link between key strategic distributors and all functions within GATD to identify and update forecasting and effectively communicate with all other areas of the business. Participate in trade/product shows, seminars, industry trade organizations, district and regional sales meetings in order to identify opportunities for application tooling to support new and existing technologies. Requirements: 8 years in Sales, Marketing, or Technical management is preferred. Bachelors degree in technical field preferred. Proven skills in developing/implementing strategies in support of market segments, customers and products consistent with the overall business plan. Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross functionally and to influence without direct authority. Excellent interpersonal, written, and presentation communication skills at all levels (Customers, Sales, Operations and Senior Management), including speaking effectively to large groups and developing and delivering presentations. Strong project management and negotiation skills. Unquestionable ethics and respect for individual dignity and commitment to completing all TE Ethical Connections trainings. Multi-lingual skills including fluent English. French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and/or Arabic also attractive. Ability and willingness to travel as required – approximately 50-75%.
