Main purpose of the job:

This role is pivotal in helping them connect with clients and turn their vision into reality, all the while maintaining high standards of service.
This is a great opportunity to support the Revenue Manager in achieving revenue targets as part of their successful sales team by converting incoming conference and event enquiries to confirmed bookings, effective event planning, coordination and up selling during the final details stage, customer relationship management encouraging repeat business and growth of key clients.
You will be based at their 115 bedroom specialist venue, which is available for hire for companies looking for an external facility to host a wide range of events, from meetings, award dinners and team building events to name a few.
Responsibilities:
- Receive telephone sales enquiries and convert into contracted bookings through generating proposals and following up with clients through effective communication
- Conformance with the specified standard operating procedures for receipt of telephone enquiries
- Tracking enquiry and provisional booking follow-ups daily in accordance with follow up deadlines
- To liaise with clients in respect of co-ordination of event bookings ensuring all requirements are captured in advance of the event running
- Receive clients for site visits
- To assist the Office Manager in achievement of monthly sales revenue targets
- Undertake after sales telephone activity post event as well as regular customer relationship management (CRM) activity
- The effective application of diary management to ensure optimisation of letting capacity and yield achievement
- Prepare pro-forma invoices for the finance team to then issue to clients
- To integrate and maintain positive relations with the broader venues team through effective relay of information concerning events running
- Offer general sales related support and administration to the Sales Office Manager.
Requirements:
- Experience and knowledge of; enquiry conversions, monthly revenue performance against target and customer satisfaction ratings
- Confident and well spoken, excellent telephone manner
- Communicative skills across departments
- Experience of working within a Hotel or Venue Events Sales office department of a busy conference and event Hotel
- Displays good attention to detail
- Excellent people skills.
