About the Business Development Manager role
You will be working in a team that has received industry awards for service excellence. This is something we look for in all applicants and will train you to become even better. Deals come in thick and fast through the day, so you will be busy making things happen from the minute you start.
Rather than being tied to a desk all day, you will have the freedom to get out of the office and meet with our broker community. You will be given a sales region and a database of broker partners to work with.
You will report into the Managing Director (Sales) and form a tight knit team, focused on the Bridging, Refurbishment and Buy-To-Let offering.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Go through deal enquiries directly with introducers, structuring cases to meet credit policy.
- Plan and maintain a strategic diary to develop credible and trust-based relationships with introducer base.
- Actively seek and grow new sources of business from inbound enquiry, existing contracts, industry journals etc
- Maximise bridging & BTL sales from introducer base by building relationships
- Achieve quarterly & annual targets for each lending division set out and agreed with the Managing Director
- Attend and present at exhibitions, workshops, seminars, and other opportunities as required
- Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of company products and service.
- Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of competitors of the company and our competitive advantages.
- Record all contacts and details of meetings on the company’s CRM system (Impact)
Skills and Competencies
- Bridging & Property BDM background preferred however will consider other BDM backgrounds within the financial services sector such as Buy to Lets, Development and Commercial.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience.
- Confident presenting in front of small and large audiences.
- Ability to communicate with businesses and colleagues by telephone, email, and face to face.
- Liaising with Introducers and/or external customers.
- Highly motivated individual, committed to providing outstanding service to customers and clients.
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Ability to collaborate, build trust and influence at senior level
- Demonstrable professional integrity and a strong work ethic
- Demonstrable alignment with the company values of Teamwork, Service, Integrity and Tenacity
Package
- Salary £60k - £80k
- Six-figure OTE
