We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator/Business development manger to join our team. This role is designed for a dynamic individual eager to make a substantial impact on our operations and grow their career within the roofing sector.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately pricing work packages, generating quotes, overseeing roofing projects and the company's Health and Safety initiatives. Additionally, the ideal candidate will play a key role in business development by bringing in new contracts and leveraging their existing network to secure new business.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and submit detailed quotes and cost reports using Excel and accounting software.

- Engage in lead management from generation to conversion, fostering strong client relationships.

- Utilise personal network and actively pursue new business opportunities, bringing in contracts to expand the company’s client base. Candidates will be rewarded for successfully securing new business.

- Oversee and manage roofing projects, ensuring quality and timely completion.

- Opportunity to recruit and oversee your own team of roofers and labourers, ensuring project efficiency and effectiveness.

- Manage Health & Safety policies, including Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and inductions.

- Maintain compliance with Health & Safety regulations, conducting regular audits and updates.

**Ideal Candidate Profile:**

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the roofing industry with a comprehensive understanding of site works and repairs.

- Proven ability to generate new business, with a strong network within the construction/roofing community.

- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting software.

- Strong organisational, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

- Knowledge of cash flow management, income generation, and pricing strategies to ensure project profitability.

- Residency in Cambridgeshire or surrounding areas with an established network within the construction/roofing community.

- CSCS Card

A trade qualification is preferred but not mandatory.

• Ability to plan, prioritise, and execute tasks effectively.
• Highly motivated, with a team-player attitude yet capable of driving initiatives independently.
