Overview
Highly successful Business Services company require experienced Senior Accounts Assistant for a challenging and varied position based in Colnbrook, Slough
About the role
Reporting to the Finance Manager the Senior Accounts Assistant will undertake a key role covering both accounts payable & receivable and will assist with a variety of month-end accounting routines. Key duties include:
* Accounts payable management ensuring the prompt payment of all supplier invoices
* Authorisation and payment of employee expenses
* Responsible for customer billings and sending out invoices in an accurate & timely manner
* Credit control debt collection for a portfolio of high value accounts
* Accounting journals including accruals & prepayments
* Management of fixed assets and depreciation schedules
* Monthly bank account reconciliations
* Completion of balance sheet reconciliations
* Utilising MS Excel to assist with project accounting
About you
* You will have gained varied accounts experience gained within an SME environment and have a proven track record within accounts payable and accounts receivable
* Ideally you will be part qualified AAT/ACCA or CIMA
* Applicants will have good MS Excel skills with experience of V Lookups and pivot tables
* The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels
