Job Description
GALENT are recruiting for an excellent temporary opportunity suitable for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk within the hospitality industry based in Central Manchester.
Environment and Benefits
You will be joining a dynamic team in a hybrid work environment. The first week requires five days in the office for training, followed by a flexible working arrangement of three days in the office and two days from home per week. The position offers a pay rate of £16 per hour inclusive of holiday pay and a total of 37.5 working hours per week.
Job Duties
* Mailbox Management:
* Monitor the AP mailbox to manage and clear incoming queries and invoices.
* Save and organize emails and attachments systematically.
* Invoice Processing:
* Request and follow up on invoice approvals from relevant departments.
* Ensure all Purchase Orders (POs) are correctly matched and approved.
* Process approved invoices in SUN Systems and update the ledger accurately.
* Internal Communication:
* Liaise with various departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and obtain necessary approvals.
* Maintain clear and professional communication with internal teams to facilitate smooth operations.
* Support During Systems Upgrade:
* Assist the finance team with tasks related to the upcoming systems upgrade.
* Adapt to new procedures and technologies as part of the upgrade process.
* General Administration:
* Perform basic bookkeeping tasks and general administrative duties as needed.
The Ideal Accounts Payable Clerk Will Possess the Following Attributes/Skills
1. Accounts Payable Experience:
* Some prior experience in an accounts payable role.
2. Accuracy and Speed:
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to work quickly and accurately.
3. Willingness to Learn:
* Open to learning new systems and processes, especially during the upcoming systems upgrade.
4. Basic Bookkeeping and Administrative Skills:
* Competent in basic bookkeeping and administrative tasks.
