Job Description
Chapman Recruitment are looking for a Project Manager to join an established company in the engineering sector, specializing in Automation, Electrical, and Mechanical projects. The company was established in 2003 and has a dynamic team that thrives on challenges and is looking to welcome a person that is enthusiastic, and self-driven individual who is eager to develop and progress within the industry. Excellent salary and package depending on experience.
You must be flexible and willing to work split/night shifts.
Position Summary as a Project Manager:
Are you a proactive leader with a passion for driving engineering excellence. We are looking for a dynamic Project Manager to lead the successful execution of critical engineering projects. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless communication across senior management, engineering teams, and on-site delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities as a Project Manager:
* Ensuring that all necessary equipment, resources and information is in place for seamless project delivery, anticipating needs to keep operations running smoothly.
* Oversee the setup of project teams, ensuring that all essential documentation, including permits, POWRA’s. Site checklists and other project files are in place
* Ensuring all handover deliverables are completed submitted on schedule
* Ensure all project activities align with quality, health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations
* Assist with engineering and commercial change, managing project budgets and addressing any variations In project scope.
* Acting as the primary contact with the client, streamlining project planning, and proactively resolving constraints to facilitate upcoming work.
* Prepare project reports, monitor milestones, and communicate progress clearly.
* Apply knowledge of construction health and safety principles, ensuring safe work environments
* Utilise Knowledge of construction planning and programme management to support efficient and timely completion
* Promote company business through excellent customer care and high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Oversee project documentation and administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for all project records.
Qualifications / Skills of Project Manager:
* Degree in construction/other relevant construction/ Project Management qualifications is preferred but not essential if you have relevant PM experience.
* Strong knowledge of engineering processes, material handling equipment, steelwork design, mechanical installations, and electrical components.
* Excellent skills in Microsoft Office and electronic document management systems.
* Good written and verbal communication
* Ability to gain an airside pass which would include a clear DBS and 5year referencing
