Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities of the fire alarm engineer:
* Undertaking planned preventive maintenance on fire alarm, smoke control and life safety systems.
* Carry out periodic testing of residential life safety systems across multiple sites in central London.
* Produce maintenance reports and log defects.
* Rectify faults and defects.
* Maintain client stock (spares) levels.
* Carry out safe isolations.
Person Specification / Qualifications
Ability to demonstrate core knowledge of fire detection and fire alarm system maintenance work (including BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations).
* Have a regulated qualification in BS 5839-1 with maintenance content (Level 3 or higher).
* Good attention to detail in order to ensure that all paperwork is correctly completed, and procedures are followed within the allotted timescales.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
* The ability to carry out safe isolation.
* A broad IT knowledge, i.e. Windows, Excel, etc.
* Be prepared to work on call on rotation.
