Job Description

Are you an experienced Engineer looking to make a transition into Business Management?

Our business team is expanding, and we are looking for a Business Manager to join the UK engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to combine your business acumen with your engineering background to make a real impact in a fast-paced and dynamic industry.

Who are we?

Vulcain Engineering Ltd, our UK business, is well positioned within the UK Nuclear industry. We provide the flexibility our clients demand by working at our customers’ sites in the UK and Europe as well as carrying out work remotely on their behalf. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of organisational support to key projects.

Vulcain was founded in the mid-2000s to specialise in energy and environment projects. Our knowledge of the energy and environment sector means we can support our customers at all stages of the engineering-procure-construct-commission (EPCC) project lifecycle.

What will I be doing?

The role of a Business Manager is both challenging and rewarding. With responsibility for your own profit center, you will gain experience in all aspects of growing and managing your own account. You will be supported by a great team to ensure you have everything you need to be successful.

The purpose of this job is to manage a section of our business and be responsible for the profit and loss of that section. The section of business will typically be defined by customer accounts, and you will manage all aspects of business development, sales and bidding, proposals (including recruitment where required), delivery and line management of your team.

As a Business Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to expand our market presence, drive revenue growth, and enhance client relationships.

The location is flexible, but you will need to spend time with the team in Eastington and with your clients and your own team, either in Bristol and/or Bridgwater.

What do you need to bring?

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving business growth and success. You will either be degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline or should hold equivalent working experience. Knowledge and interest of the nuclear industry is desirable.

We are looking for a positive person with drive and commitment. Excellent communication skills are key, as you will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring the successful execution of our projects.

Why join us?

At Vulcain Engineering, we offer more than just a job – we offer a rewarding career with endless opportunities for growth and development. You'll be part of a talented team of professionals working on exciting and meaningful projects and making a real impact to the nuclear industry.

We offer a dynamic and collaborative work environment where your talents are valued, and your contributions are recognised.

Join us in shaping the future of the nuclear industry and driving innovation to new heights. If you are ready to take on new challenges and unlock your full potential, we invite you to apply for the position of Business Manager today.
