Job Description
Our client is experiencing a period of sustained growth and has a Test Technician role within their Leominster team on a full time, permanent basis. This is an integral role within the assembly and engineering team, contributing to the testing and production of bespoke, high value electrical products. The successful candidate will be technically proficient with a background in either an electrical or mechanical discipline.
This is a high growth industry with future plans for further development and the ideal candidate will be eager to learn new skills across a diverse range of products and seek development opportunities in the course of their employment.
What you can expect:
•Salary £30k - £32.5k per annum, depending on experience
•37.5 hours per week across Monday to Friday with an early finish on a Friday
•26 days plus bank holidays, increasing with years of service (approx. 3 days allocated to Christmas shutdown)

What you will be doing:
•Follow technical instructions and interpret technical Drawings packs
•Inspect quality and tolerances of components prior to assembly
•Convert stock materials to key components
•Assemble components using both hand and power tools
•Inspect sub-assemblies and completed products for defects prior to testing
•Document progress and report issues
•Test finished products to ensure conformance
•Diagnose and rectify issues with faulty products
•Collaborate with other departments to solve issues and implicate positive changes to products and procedures
What we are looking for:
•High level of manual dexterity for intricate assembly tasks
•Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in all tasks
•Proficient in soldering techniques to ensure product integrity
•Able to interpret and work with engineering drawings effectively
•Aptitude for identifying and resolving issues to ensure seamless production processes
