Job Description
Rullion has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join an established client based in Manchester City Centre.
We're looking for an experienced management accountant to join us, and help us to enable critical commercial decision-making that'll drive the performance of Co-op Funeralcare, and help us to better serve our customers, members and colleagues. If you have the accountancy expertise and natural people skills that we need, then we can offer you the opportunity to define your profile with a business that puts people at the heart of its strategy.
In this role, you'll support in the delivery of high-profile continuous improvement projects, helping us to establish new and more effective ways of working for our Funeralcare business. You'll provide advice and guidance to executive colleagues, drawing valuable insights from historical financial data to highlight areas for concern and spot opportunities to improve processes.
What you'll do
provide business intelligence to senior Funeralcare colleagues, by analysing historical management information and drawing valuable insights that'll aid decision-making
● actively identify cost saving opportunities and innovative ways to improve process efficiencies
● support the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring deadlines are met
● produce accurate balance sheet reconciliations
● work on ad-hoc projects as and when directed by the Senior Finance Manager
● managing a variety of requests from colleagues across the businessThis role would suit people who have
an ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualification or equivalent
● familiarity with accountancy systems (e.g. Cognos)
● previous experience of preparing balance sheet reconciliations
● outstanding communication skills, with the confidence to engage, influence and challenge colleagues at various levels
● advanced Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to use pivot tables and VLOOKUPS
