Financial Controller

Marks Sattin are delighted to be partnering with a brilliant Legal/Professional Services business to support their search for a Financial Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Implement working capital strategies, manage cash flow forecasting, and drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Prepare monthly group management accounts and yearly financial statements.
• Coordinate the firm’s annual budget and forecasts, and present them to the management committee.
• Oversee financial reporting, including profitability, revenue, statutory, tax, and regulatory filings.
• Lead a transactional team and manage the firm's billing process.
• Manage financial and operational projects.
• Support the development and execution of the Finance Strategy, ensuring alignment with the firm's overall strategic objectives.

Experience:

• Qualified accountant with a ACA, ACMA, CIMA, or ACCA
• Previous experience working within a Financial Controller role
• Strong finance and operations background, with expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards, global transfer pricing regulations, and local taxation
• Demonstrated success in improving profitability, reducing working capital, and delivering on strategic objectives within an international professional services firm
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills, with the ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical abilities are essential
