Join this global telecommunications provider as they look to scale their CoE for commercial insights. A broad role which will allow you to flex and grow a range of analytical problem-solving skills, whilst operating in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Projects are centred around customer engagement, pricing, promotions, finance and broader business performance, so require a strong knowledge of how to model data, segment and analyse in large volumes, with a view to delivering impactful insights which support realising commercial goals.
Technically, you will need to be a strong SQL programmer, ideally with some skills in Python for more complex work, as well as excellent presentation and data visualisation skills.
You will report directly into the Commercial Analytics Director, in a small, agile and high performing team, which regular learning and development opportunities, and the chance to support your leader directly.
Intellectual curiosity is key, with the ability to constantly identify new opportunities for improvement and ideate around how to use data for good.
In addition, you have the freedom to apply data science and modelling techniques in order to really get under the skin of customers and business performance, as and when is appropriate.
Skills & experience required:
- Educated to degree level in a numerate subject; Machine Learning, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics etc.
- Statistical analytics background employing a wide variety of techniques to solve problems and answer questions around customers, as well as overall business performance.
- Python or R programmer, with strong skills in SQL for data extraction, manipulation and modelling, extracting insights and landing them with the business to drive improvements and optimise business performance and customer experience and engagement.
- Strong communication skills, ability to translate and bring to life complex technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders.
