Our client is a rapidly growing manufacturing business with operations spanning several countries across Europe. They provide innovative, solutions-based products to support complex infrastructure projects. The company is focused on enhancing efficiency, safety, and sustainability, with a strong presence across various construction sectors.
The Role:
- Responsible for managing and standardising logistics operations across multiple sites.
- Based at the UK national hub, you will lead the development and execution of an outbound freight strategy, ensuring it aligns with both customer requirements and business objectives.
- Key responsibilities include optimising logistics performance, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, negotiating contracts, and driving cost-effective and sustainable logistics solutions.
- Scaling logistics operations to meet increasing demand, reducing late deliveries, and improving overall customer satisfaction.
- Leading a logistics team, you will ensure alignment with the company’s broader goals and growth plans.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced logistics professional with a strong background in managing logistics teams within a fast-paced, international environment. You should have experience in developing and implementing outbound freight strategies, managing cross-border logistics, and overseeing budgets to deliver cost savings.
Key qualifications and attributes include:
- A degree or postgraduate qualification in Business Management, Supply Chain, or Logistics.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity.
- Experience with international logistics, particularly in relation to post-Brexit trade.
- Financial acumen and a strategic approach to driving logistics improvements and sustainability initiatives.
