Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager – IVD Product Development

Location: Oxford, hybrid (2 days on site)


About the Opportunity:

We are working with a groundbreaking Biotech company known for its innovation in molecular diagnostics and infectious disease research. They are expanding their IVD product pipeline and are in need of a skilled Project Manager to help drive critical projects from concept through to launch, ensuring compliance with ISO13485 and alignment with business goals. If you have a strong background in IVD product development and project management, this could be an exciting next step for you.


The Role:

As the Project Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for managing high-impact IVD projects, overseeing everything from planning and resource allocation to reporting and exception management. You’ll work closely with teams across R&D, quality and regulatory, operations, and commercial to ensure successful product development and market launch.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Management: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management. Develop detailed project plans including timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Guide and motivate cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless collaboration with quality, regulatory, supply chain, manufacturing, and commercial teams.
  • Risk & Progress Monitoring: Track project milestones, manage risks, and ensure transparent reporting to senior management.
  • Resource & Budget Management: Maintain project budgets, manage scope changes, and secure the resources necessary for success.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all project milestones are met on time and adhere to high-quality standards.


Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in the project management of IVD products from initial development through to launch.
  • Strong understanding of ISO13485 standards and project lifecycle management.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple business functions.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and best practices for resource and budget management.
