Job Description
Construction Project Manager overview:
An exciting new opportunity to join a fast-paced, rapidly growing Main Contractor, overseeing a range of multi-sector turnkey construction projects across the Home Counties and Midlands. The role will involve delivering projects across Design & Build, Refurbishment & Fit-Out, New Build, Dilapidation & Demolition and Civil Engineering.
The successful candidate will have practical knowledge of various construction builds across the Commercial Sector with an understanding of Civil Engineering and a proven track record of success in Project Managing projects valuing up to £5M.
Construction Project Manager responsibilities:
Liaise with clients and stakeholders to develop and implement project requirements and programmes
Assist with appointment of subcontractors
Management of procurement process for projects
Conduct weekly meetings to facilitate process of projects
Work with Site Managers to ensure projects comply with building regulations
Oversee on-site Health & Safety implementation, checking method statements and risk assessments
Track and manage variations against the budget
Liaise directly with Site Supervisor to ensure that all materials and plant are on-site when required
Check and approve subcontractor invoices
Communicate relevant project information to the client and wider team in a timely and efficient manner
Ensure a high level of service is delivered to the customer at all phases of the contractConstruction Project Manager requirements:
Proven track record of success in Project Management within Construction industry
Commercial awareness
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Strong decision maker with the ability to delegate tasks and mitigate risks effectively and efficiently
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
IT competent
Ability to lead and motivate teams
HNC or Degree in Construction Management or equivalent
CSCS card
